Moonya was established in 1954 and has grown to be a major disability service provider in the South Gippsland Region. Located in Wonthaggi, Moonya provides services across the Shires of Bass Coast and South Gippsland in the areas of Day Services, Supported Employment through its Australian Disability Employment Enterprises and Open Employment via its Disability Employment Service.

Moonya is governed by a volunteer Board of Management elected from the associations members
